Vinegar Tom by LJ-Phillips Vinegar Tom by LJ-Phillips
Vinegar Tom (“Call me Vinnie”), my Shifter from my upcoming comic, Skins. I wanted to go for a very masculine look to contrast with my vampire character Rabbit [link] And hey, a male comic book character who will actually have chest hair!

First time you see Vinnie in his human (a bit) form. Vinnie’s one of the Skins, a supernatural race of Shifters with the ability to shed their skins and assume animal forms.

Vinnie reluctantly joined The Coven, hoping to find redemption for his past fighting the Plague. Instead, he found a reason to live and the merry band of misfits that is The Coven became a new pack to replace the one that abandoned him.

This is how I imagine all my Lycans to be... dayum.

Well, thank you so much :highfive: I think werwolves, lycans and wolfmen should have some testosterone to spare ;)

Well that's the whole point of it all.  The primal nature of it all lends itself toward more testosterone than anything else for them (males anyway).  It's just I"ve always imagined my Lycans with the tapering of the ears, amber eyes, somewhat enlarged canines, and claws.  So this is pretty damn close to my original vision when I write.

Oh yes, it's a very primal form of masculinity and male power. I wanted to explore its positive (I find very masculine characters often demonized in pop culture - portrayed as potential rapists and chauvinists - or else, completely flat stereotypes.) My comic gives me a chance to explore this versions of masculinity in more positive light.  Always nice to meet another fan of werewolves (I love vampires but they have more then enough fans) - good luck with your writing :)

while I will always be a Tyr girl, Vinnie's been growing on me.
He really is a decent guy, not to mention hot and sexy.
I love his hair, especially when it's down.
very masculine, the blood dripping from his fang gives me tingles:giggle:
It's that fang thing again - they always get me hot and bothered;p

will we be hearing/reading about how/why his pack abandoned him in the future?
or did I miss that?

Firstly and most importantly, how have you been doing, my friend? Are you making a swift recovery? I hope so :tighthug:

Yep, Vinnie is one of the good guys :D In a sexy packaging to boot ;)
Thanks so much :tighthug: I was inspired by the old sword and sorcery barbarian heroes :giggle:

Heh, I like fangs myself - something really sexy about them.

Good question and indeed we will!

I am doing better. I'm still hurting, but I've been able to cut back on the meds and I finally was able to sleep on my right side again. It's amazing how much I missed that when I couldn't do it.

yep, Vinnie's a good guy, the kind of guy who'd give you the shirt off his back. Of course, it might fit like a dress on you or me, but we'd be warm:giggle:

and great. I love the backround stuff.

I'm so glad you're doing better  Sorry you're still in some pain. ah, I've been there myself (broke some ribs) - you don't realize how much you miss being able to sleep normally until suddenly you can again. Here's to your ongoing and complete recovery :highfive:

Indeed he is! He's very generous to those who matter to him. True, true but at least it'd keep us toasty. Until Jordan stormed over and wanted to know why we were wearing her man's shirt :giggle:

Exactly ;)

So glad to hear that :glomp:

but...but...but Jordan, just because I'm wearing your man's shirt...OW
no, dammit, keep out of my head...OW It didn't really happen...OW It was just a fantasy...OW

She's not rational when it comes to things like that.
If only we had Magneto's helmet - it's a shield against psychic attack. Hopefully Rabbit will distract him by making out with Tyr (Jordan's such a yaoi fangirl) and we can make our escape :D
